Elsen Tasarkhai is a beautiful sand dune 80 km long, 5 km wide situated by joining 2 Mongolian provinces, Uvorkhangai and Bulgan. Elsen tasarkhai is 280 km west from Ulaanbaatar city. Many local and foreign tourists visit to hike on sand dunes or do camel riding pretending as it is huge desert. Area presents a unique combination of Mongolian mountains, forests and Gobi-type landscape in one location and also this place have been home for many wild animals such as deer, Maral stag (elk)dung, camels, wolves, foxes, and corsacs.
